Where maximum reliability and simplest processing are required, our wood construction screws come into play. Their strengths, such as a greatly reduced screwing torque and the very low splitting effect, are particularly in demand in timber construction, as the large timber dimensions usually used mean that rapid screwing in of the wood screws really saves time. We make particular use of this in structural timber engineering, where our partially and fully threaded screws are used for heavy-duty and durable timber connections. The great advantage of this type of screw connection is that it completely eliminates the need for the sheet metal moldings and fittings that would otherwise be required for wood connections. In addition to cost-effectiveness - fittings often have to be completely nailed out - the much more pleasant pure wood appearance also plays an important role. What this means for you is that you save a lot of money on expensive wood connectors, which are also not conducive to the appearance of a wooden structure. You can create heavy-duty and durable wood joints in the simplest way. For the screw connection of stairs, wooden construction elements or battens in roofs and walls, high holding forces are particularly important. This is provided by our universal screw with plate head and partial thread. The large SPAX pan head pulls two components together with great force, while the optimized partial thread is matched to the high load-bearing capacity of the pan head. We have matched the shaft length to the most common wood thicknesses. The interaction of the large plate head and the optimized partial thread makes it possible to reduce the screw diameter (5mm instead of 6mm) while maintaining the same load capacity. This naturally benefits the screw-in speed. For you, this means: smaller screws are sufficient for the same use, you save weight, time and costs.
