There can be no cutting corners when it comes to quality, in order to avoid the slightest doubt about safety. SPAX is not prepared to compromise on this point in future either. Quality and safety you can rely on are our top priority where our fasteners that are “Made in Germany” are concerned. Always use SPAX to be on the safe side!
SPAX made of rustproof stainless steel are particularly suitable for outdoor use. They are available in two versions: stainless steel A2 for outdoor applications directly exposed to the weather and for use in damp and wet rooms (e.g. kitchen and bathroom), and for applications in coastal areas, we recommend stainless steel A4. Rustproof stainless steel has a high chromium content, which results in a protective layer forming on the surface. Further alloying constituents such as nickel, molybdenum, manganese and niobium give the screws even better corrosion resistance properties.
SPAX undergoes voluntary technical monitoring by the MPA Stuttgart. The products are marked on the packaging with this unique test seal.
In the certification procedure for the SKH stamp, the product and manufacturer are inspected at regular intervals by an independent expert on the basis of specified requirements.
As a result of a decision by the European Commission, the level for assessing and verifying constancy of performance (AVCP system) as it is applied to our products has been changed and will be downgraded from 2+ to 3. This applies to our products that are subject to an ETA accreditation and have thus been given the CE marking. Level 3 means that external inspection by an independent materials testing institute (notified certification body) is no longer mandatory and that an in-house production check in the factory alone suffices.
