Furniture

Whether MDF boards, hardboard back walls, wood elements or metal fittings, when building furniture, ensuring a secure hold of the materials is just as important as how it looks. With the right screw head and surface coupled with the perfect point and thread geometry, SPAX makes light work of furniture construction.

The main facts at a glance

  • Furniture construction made easy with the right materials and screws.
  • Working with SPAX prevents screws from splitting or piercing through boards.
  • SPAX has the perfect screw whatever your plan. With aesthetics to suit every project, too.

Making your own furniture doesn't require lots of experience – just lots of ideas. Armed with modern wood-based products and solid wood boards, DIY enthusiasts can build the furniture of their dreams. Providing they have the right screws for the material, which also fit in with the visual concept.

What do I need to know?

The most important thing in furniture construction is ensuring that screws do not split the narrow board edges during insertion. Thanks to their serrations and CUT point, SPAX screws make this concern a thing of the past. Special flange head screws with a large washer head also prevent the screws from piercing through boards.

What solutions does SPAX offer?

SPAX has the perfect screw for every project. And the perfect aesthetic finish, too. The SPAX-M with partial thread and slim head, for instance, enables the perfect connection of MDF boards and thin wood-based products. Flat flange head screws with full thread ensure a sturdy hold on the back of furniture without damaging or warping the material.

Flat flange head screws with partial thread for cabinet connections replace the common screw-and-threaded sleeve combination on furniture.

Fitted with colour-coordinated plastic cover caps, SPAX screws with centre drill can be made practically invisible. Alternatively, go for our screws with bronze finish, which offer a perfect colour match for many types of wood.
