To the future, together – ABC training workshop

In 1963, the meanwhile widely renowned ABC training workshop was founded in order to give young people a well-grounded training in our company. In this way we are able to identify qualified technical staff early, and can train them specifically to meet our requirements.

Every year we apply this commitment to schooling over 30 trainees in various commercial fields and trades / technical professions: industrial mechanic, cutting mechanic, tool mechanic, machine and system operator, and industrial clerk (in the administrative area for SPAX International or the holding company). Most of our trainees come from the immediate surrounding area in South Westphalia.

In the ABC training workshop, we not only provide a technical background, but also encourage both team spirit and the individual development of every trainee. Our trainees independently develop stress-relieving and supporting devices for our production departments.

Under the motto "Experiencing mechanical engineering – Technology that fascinates", our ABC training workshop is transformed into a "project house". This helps in a nationwide information campaign aimed at giving schoolchildren an insight into professional fields that are seldom considered during career orientation. With the assistance of practical examples, the young people are shown how interesting and exciting the work of an industrial mechanic or cutting mechanic can be. The objective of the ABC training workshop is to generate enthusiasm about mechanical engineering amongst schoolchildren.
