The special feature of the angle connector with rib SXABR170 is the different lengths of the two legs. The longer leg, which is screwed or nailed to sleepers or purlins, guarantees that a very high transfer of loads F2 and F3 (shear forces in the longitudinal direction of the wood) is possible. The tilt resistance of high sleepers or purlins is also ensured by the long leg- in addition, the central rib also has a stabilizing effect. For the connection of the SXABR with rib to concrete, we have provided several 13 mm holes, the small holes are used for fastening the angle connector to wood with SPAX wood connector screws and SPAX grooved nails.This means for you: Especially with large wood dimensions high load transfer due to the long leg, you do not need additional shear protection.
