GIX is the generic term for our drywall screws, which you can easily recognize by their black color. This coloration is the result of phosphating, a corrosion protection that ensures that the screws do not draw moisture and stand out on the wall surface. In addition, phosphating on the head of the screw provides the perfect adhesion for the subsequent joint filler. Drywall screws have a special head, the trumpet head. This is shaped in such a way that it does not pierce the sensitive cardboard layer of the gypsum boards when screwed into the drywall substructure. The GIX drywall screws thus ensure a perfect hold of the boards and can be easily countersunk with millimeter precision. Three thread types are available for the drywall screws: The GIX A with fine thread is ideally suited for screwing into metal studs. The GIX B with coarse thread is needed for wood stud framing. The GIX C is your partner when you are working with gypsum fiberboard. The GIX D with its self-drilling tip stands for secure screwing into stronger metal studs up to 2 mm material thickness. This means for you: For every material combination in drywall construction you are perfectly equipped with our GIX drywall screws.
