The large SPAX pan head pulls two components together with great force, while the optimized partial thread is matched to the high load-bearing capacity of the pan head. We have matched the shaft length to the most common wood thicknesses. The interaction of the large plate head and the optimized partial thread makes it possible to reduce the screw diameter (5mm instead of 6mm) while maintaining the same load capacity.
