Hold down HT R17

Quantity
Dimensions
  • Approved for installation via intermediate layers such as chipboard or OSB boards with SPAX wood connector screw
  • Available in three sizes: 340, 440 and 540 mm height
  • With R17 mm round hole - for load transfer through plug, concrete screws, etc.
  • For the absorption of high tensile loads in timber frame construction
  • Reduced overall height - low installation height with high load-bearing capacity
  • Low bar height (150mm) - no obstruction during subsequent floor construction
  • Optimised hole arrangement for support connections
  • No reduction of plug load-bearing capacity
  • Optional bearing plate SXBP5018 for tensile loads of more than Rk=42.0 kN
  • Image shows product version 440 x 63 x 60 x 3.0 mm – SXHT440
Perfectly tailored to timber construction is our SPAX tie rod SXHT. It is securely anchored through the round hole R17 with a bolt, anchor or similar in substrates such as wood, steel or concrete. Three different, reduced heights of 340, 440 and 540 mm equip it for every load case, and it is also approved and can be used over intermediate layers such as chipboard or OSB boards. For load-bearing column connections, we have optimized the hole pattern for this variant. To ensure that our tie rod is not unpleasantly conspicuous during subsequent floor construction, the web height of 150 mm has been kept very low. Despite its compact design, the SXHT is capable of withstanding high loads, especially in timber construction- the optional SXBP5018 pressure plate increases the tensile loads that can be absorbed beyond 42.0 kN. Due to the bending-resistant design of the base plate with lateral webs, a reduction of the dowel load-bearing capacity is not necessary. The SXHT is nailed with our SPAX wood connecting screws or SPAX grooved nails. This means for you: Due to the compact design you save storage and transport costs, you achieve highest tensile load capacities, especially in timber construction.
